This house in the neighborhood near Casa Loma has always been one of my favourites. It is on a street with a lot of trees so this shot was taken in March before the leaves came out. In summer the house has beautiful flower beds throughout the garden. I just love the proportions of the place.
This is a great looking house from an earlier era. I can picture horses and a carriage coming up to his house.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful place. I see the carriage entrance there on the left. When I was young, I remember someone back in my home town explaining how the covered area was where the horse-drawn carriage would stop to pick up or let off the people who lived there and keep them dry if it was raining.
ReplyDeleteInteresting especially with the horse-places!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house. The houses are completely different from ours.
ReplyDeleteA pretty ritzy house!
ReplyDeleteIts elegant proportions already shine through in March, and I can only imagine how magical it must look in full bloom during summer.
ReplyDeleteBalanced and timeless. Absolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeletehandsome and stately
ReplyDeleteA lot of stone.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house, very nice curb appeal too.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day!
It reminds me a bit of our 'Arts and Craft style houses that date to the early 20th century. It's very elegant.
ReplyDeleteI must be mired in adulthood because my second thought after admiration is that the upkeep would be way too expensive! LOL. Aloha Pat
ReplyDeleteI like the look of it.
