I have long admired a wonderful Art Deco building on Bathurst St (see HERE). I recently heard that there were new owners and that there was an event space at the back which that weekend was featuring some kind of design event so I went by mostly to see the building from the inside. The display was underwhelming but I did like the space. It had been a warehouse for the tile company who built the building in the 1930s.
The 1930s was an era of wonderful design, and this building looks great. I am glad it has found a new life as studios and event space.
ReplyDeleteI am glad the building is occupied and has a new use!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
A wish was granted.
ReplyDeleteGreat that the building has a new lease on life.
ReplyDeleteEven if the event itself was underwhelming, it must have been satisfying to finally see the elegant Art Deco interior of a building you’ve admired for so long
ReplyDeleteDear RedPat, ... to me this says: No privacy. Our condo is too small, but I can close the door when Ingo cooks something "smelly".
ReplyDeleteIn theory I´d love this place.
In reality ... one had to leave ;-)
It's always exciting when you finally get to see the inside of a building that you've admired from the outside, and it's a shame when it doesn't quite live up to your expectations.
