Safe From Thieves?

The police can leave their bikes anywhere with little chance of them being stolen I think. They are probably now stored away for winter but are a common sight the rest of the year.

Taking part in Signs2. Click HERE to see more signs from around the world.

Celebrate safely tonight!

  1. My bike shop friend says that supplying police with bikes has greatly improved urban policing. Police can ride right up to a trouble maker without them realizing the police have arrived, and they have more positive contact with the citizens than in patrol cars.

  7. Only a fool would steal that and we know there's lots of them around.

  8. They are around here too, but not this time of year.

  9. Police bicycles tend to enjoy a level of informal immunity, and it’s reassuring to think they’ll reappear as familiar fixtures once the warmer months return

  10. Some here would see it as a challenge, but even with the signage covered, there would still be a great risk of it being identified.

  11. Hard to see that it is a police bike, at least compared to the ones in Sweden, but I agree on the low risk of them being stolen.

  13. Wow! That's a great vehicle for a police officer! I've never seen a police officer on a bicycle.
