When the leaves are off the trees in winter that is the best time to look at the style of homes in the Annex neighbourhood. The facade of these 2 semi-detached houses is quite unusual for the neighbourhood. The one on the right looks fairly original while the left side has done a larger window on the 2nd floor but otherwise the whole building looks great.

Oh, Ontario brick houses -- so iconic!
ReplyDeleteThat larger window really stands out when you look at the whole building. Lovely red brick.
ReplyDeleteSad about the large window, RedPat!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great looking brick house, but too bad about the remuddled large window that does not fit the original style of the building.
ReplyDeleteThere are beautiful houses there. Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteIt finally occurs to me why The Annex is called The Annex. What was it annexed from and exactly where is?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful homes! Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI can understand why someone would want a larger window, but it leaves the pair looking wrong to my eyes.
ReplyDelete...this is a beauty.
