Going For A Ride

This sculpture by the Australian artists Gillie & Marc is found on King St W and is quite popular with everyone. I had to wait until the back seat was empty of people before getting the shot. The artists' famous dog and rabbit are out for a ride with a big guy. I didn't notice the couple on the left having a big hug until I saw it on the computer.

  2. Gillie & Marc are terrific sculptors and I've not seen this work before., and it is one of their better ones. I am so pleased you have this in your city.

  6. What a fine sculpture, but I'm not sure I would put the Rhino at the front. Rhinos are powerful, but have poor eyesight for negotiating traffic. The dog is dressed so formally with a suit and necktie. Yes, I would love to have my picture taken in the back seat.

  8. Certainly an eye-catching sculpture. I wonder who dreams them up - and why.
