This sculpture by the Australian artists Gillie & Marc is found on King St W and is quite popular with everyone. I had to wait until the back seat was empty of people before getting the shot. The artists' famous dog and rabbit are out for a ride with a big guy. I didn't notice the couple on the left having a big hug until I saw it on the computer.

ReplyDeleteGillie & Marc are terrific sculptors and I've not seen this work before., and it is one of their better ones. I am so pleased you have this in your city.
ReplyDeleteNoting wrong with a hug. Brilliant sculpture
ReplyDeleteNicely photographed.
ReplyDeleteSuch.a fun piece of public art!
ReplyDeleteThis is a BIG WOW!
ReplyDeleteCool art!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I remember seeing some of their sculptures in London. They are always fun to find.
ReplyDeleteCool sculptures! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine sculpture, but I'm not sure I would put the Rhino at the front. Rhinos are powerful, but have poor eyesight for negotiating traffic. The dog is dressed so formally with a suit and necktie. Yes, I would love to have my picture taken in the back seat.
ReplyDeleteWeird but interesting sculpture.
ReplyDeleteCertainly an eye-catching sculpture. I wonder who dreams them up - and why.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, RedPat, I thought, "ha!" I know the last two, they also cycle in Perth :-)
ReplyDeleteBut.. If I am correct they were naked!
That really ask for a fat bike. Nice art.
