Starling

Large groups of Starlings are gathering and flying in packs. On this day they had landed in a Maple tree that was loaded with keys. If you don't look closely at a Starling you don't realize what interesting plumage they have with all the dots and speckles.

  4. Wonderful photo of this Starling. Our Blackbirds are assembling to migrate south for the winter. Starlings are wonderful looking birds, as you point out,.

  5. You really don't notice the feathers as much until you see them close up. Thank you so much for your prayers my friend! Hugs, Diane

  7. I don't know if our starlings are the same but I've never seen one stay still long enough to see its colours. They only seem to dart about in the sky.

  8. i so agree with your description of their plumage. given the right light they can be stunning...but around here, groups can be a real nuisance!!
