I spotted this caterpillar chewing away on some of my dill plants. I don't know what kind he is - maybe a Swallowtail? A few hours later he was gone which was a surprise.

ReplyDeleteCaterpillars live a hazardous life. I hope this one becomes a butterfly, but it may have before food for birds. Nature can be harsh.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to provide sustenance for some critters. I don’t think a single caterpillar causes much damage.
