I often walk by a construction supply yard when they are closed and this fine guy is their guardian. This pic was taken through the fence. He had been curled up having a rest but as soon as I stopped he had to get up to come and say hello. He seems quite friendly but I wouldn't put my hand through the fence.

I wouldn't mess with him
ReplyDeleteHe looks friendly indeed, but I wouldn´t give him a go, either, RedPat!
ReplyDeleteA black haired dog, is it hot? I'm afraid of loose dogs. I don't like it when the owner walks the dog on a leash that's too long and lets the dog come to me. A few times I've had to tell the dog not to come to me.
ReplyDeleteI wonder about his quality of life.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing....I wouldn't want to encroach on his territory. I just want to thank you for all of your kind comments and support for me this past year. It has meant so much to you! What a good friend you are. Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI bet he was just happy to have some company.
ReplyDeletehehehehe, me neither!!! but he sure does look like a cutie!! he probably knows a friendly face when he sees one!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine looking dog doing his job protecting his yard. Glad he came over to say hello. I'm sure you had a few kind words for him.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a great guard dog, I would keep my distance.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Good dog.
ReplyDeleteI am a dog lover, but would not pet him!
ReplyDelete...theft of construction supplies is a big problem.
ReplyDeleteThe dog does look friendly but you were wise not to test it out.
