Housed in a house built in the 1860s, The Senator has been a Toronto landmark since 1948. With most of its 1940s interior intact it's a great place to eat. Upstairs was a well-known jazz club, Top O' The Senator, until its closing in 2005. Love the old signage.

I remember going to Top o' the Senator, way back... it always seemed such an intimate place.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you participating, Redpat!
Looks inviting. I'd stop in for a meal if I was there.
ReplyDeleteI love jazz clubs. This one must have been fun.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it has been around for a while. Maybe they will decide to give the jazz club another try.
ReplyDeleteI like the old signage too. I've never been there, though.
