The "Good Bike" Project
Two young women have been getting non-repairable bikes from the salvage dump and painting them up in neon colours, adding "Good Bike" lettering and then chaining them around the city in places that they feel are 'good'. So far there are about 50 of them sprinkled about as part of this urban art project. I found this one in front of the Tarragon Theatre. They do grab your attention and make you wonder "what good thing is here?"
I like that!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cool idea, and I can imagine how the places become much more cheerful with these colourful bikes! ;-)
ReplyDeleteA bit weird.
ReplyDeleteI like projects that make people think. :)
ReplyDeletethis is an especially bright one!
ReplyDeleteHow divine. Great art AND though provoking, wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIf all the colors are this bright, they certainly are eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteThey do grab your attention. Maybe it is a take on Martha Stewarts "Good Thing"
ReplyDeleteIt is kind of cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind message today. But I am not going on 95. Just wanted you to know.
There are similar painted bikes in Port Credit - but without the drama of these ones!
ReplyDeleteGreat project, you sure can't miss this.
ReplyDeleteI love the concept!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to give an old bike a new purpose in life, no dump heap for these proud, colourful, once loved modes of transport!!
ReplyDeleteCool idea and certainly a very eye-catching project.
ReplyDeleteha. Does make you think a bit.
ReplyDeleteI think it's cool and really brightens up the space!
