Dundas & Dufferin Mural
Another of Jose Ortega's designs for Dundas West, I think this mural has been there the longest. Located on a very busy corner that I have driven past many times, it was the one that first brought me to the neighbourhood looking for more murals. I waited until the trees dropped their leaves and it was hard to get a pic with traffic whizzing by but you can see his trademark colours brightening this space.
In this place it's springtime the whole year! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
As I said before, I think, these murals certainly brighten up the neighborhood! Very colorful and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it beautiful? You're right, it wouldn't have been easy to see the mural when the trees were in leaf. Thanks for thinking of that, and for capturing it for us now!

I sure enjoy these Jose Ortega murals. Wonderful method to brighten a community.
ReplyDeleteI like it!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty nice, but I remain ambivalent about whether murals -- even nice ones like this -- are superior to just cleaning up and repairing the buildings and letting their original architecture shine through. Yes, I know. I am a traditional old fart.
ReplyDeleteI think these murals breathe fun and joy onto the city streets. I love them.
ReplyDeleteWell done for getting the shot. I understand why some people object to murals, but I also think it is important we let others express their thoughts about our (and their) surroundings.

ReplyDeleteWonderful mural, bright cheery! I like the inclusion of the pedestrian and bicycle too..
ReplyDeleteThese are so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThey are superb murals
ReplyDeleteGreat murals.....Next time I'm in the area I'll take a peek at them. I must be blind driving around and not noticing these murals, but I live in Etobicoke and don't get into that area too often. Thanks for sharing.
