I avoided the crowds downtown yesterday but got out and about today while the streets were relatively quiet as everyone recovered from all the partying from yesterday. One place I went was along the Queen St W graffiti laneway and I spotted this new mural by Skam whom I have featured before. I assume he did the whole thing since his was the only signature - what a lovely lady and I don't even mind his throw-up beside this one!
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click here for more murals.
She is lovely, but I can never figure out what it is they're doing with that stuff on the right.
ReplyDeleteAgain, very lifelike!
ReplyDeleteGOrgeous. I'd have preferred it without the red/pink/geen/blue...
ReplyDeleteI thought about cropping the right side out but decided to leave his whole piece intact. I prefer it without the coloured part too!
ReplyDeleteYes, both are cool in their own way, but together nah! Nice to see it in context though RedPat, good choice not to crop.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Pat. I'm not too keen on the tagging, but the rest is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteyes, very lifelike it is.
ReplyDeleteMy MONDAY MURAL is here
Skam draws very well. He doesn't need to add such a huge signature. :)
ReplyDeletethe neon bit is rather interesting, but it doesn't seem to blend well with the portrait, which is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHe has some ability. The portrait is lovely and draws me in. Not so the stuff on the right. I suppose people like me aren't his audience.
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful - great work!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice mural. Seems like most the murals I see are like the right side.
ReplyDeleteNice color.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, at least its not full of tags...
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful, probably his muse... ;-)
ReplyDeleteShe looks a bit fenced-in!
ReplyDeletethis is how so many streets are - contrasting styles living side by side!
ReplyDeleteWow - she is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe portrait is really nice. I can't overlook the other junk though. ;)
ReplyDeleteShe looks familiar. You women have an unfair advantage...a look like that makes us weak in the knees and we're putty in your hands.
ReplyDeleteWife, girlfriend, mistress, stranger... Take you pick.
ReplyDeleteA subtle, refined portrait. And done with a spray can! I'm glad you can read the font. Even when I know what it says, I'm still at a loss to read it. It does seem out of balance to have his throw up so much larger in scale to his beautiful woman. Thanks, Pat, for contributing to Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteI echo the others: a pretty face that did not need the screaming signature.
ReplyDeleteI can never read the tagging but I do like the portrait. Lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who his 'muse' was for this one Pat, love your descriptive of the 'art' next to it haha!
