Lovely Lady

I avoided the crowds downtown yesterday but got out and about today while the streets were relatively quiet as everyone recovered from all the partying from yesterday. One place I went was along the Queen  St W graffiti laneway and I spotted this new mural by Skam whom I have featured before. I assume he did the whole thing since his was the only signature - what a lovely lady and I don't even mind his throw-up beside this one!

  1. She is lovely, but I can never figure out what it is they're doing with that stuff on the right.

  3. GOrgeous. I'd have preferred it without the red/pink/geen/blue...

  4. I thought about cropping the right side out but decided to leave his whole piece intact. I prefer it without the coloured part too!

  5. Yes, both are cool in their own way, but together nah! Nice to see it in context though RedPat, good choice not to crop.

  6. Nice one, Pat. I'm not too keen on the tagging, but the rest is beautiful.

  7. Skam draws very well. He doesn't need to add such a huge signature. :)

  8. the neon bit is rather interesting, but it doesn't seem to blend well with the portrait, which is lovely.

  9. He has some ability. The portrait is lovely and draws me in. Not so the stuff on the right. I suppose people like me aren't his audience.

  11. This is a nice mural. Seems like most the murals I see are like the right side.

  14. this is how so many streets are - contrasting styles living side by side!

  15. The portrait is really nice. I can't overlook the other junk though. ;)

  16. She looks familiar. You women have an unfair advantage...a look like that makes us weak in the knees and we're putty in your hands.

  17. Wife, girlfriend, mistress, stranger... Take you pick.

  18. A subtle, refined portrait. And done with a spray can! I'm glad you can read the font. Even when I know what it says, I'm still at a loss to read it. It does seem out of balance to have his throw up so much larger in scale to his beautiful woman. Thanks, Pat, for contributing to Monday Mural.

  19. I echo the others: a pretty face that did not need the screaming signature.
