The Australian Boot Company has had a store on Queen St West for many years but just recently painted their present location bright orange which caught my eye and reminded me it is time to drag out the Blundstones and clean them up for the days of sandals and flip-flops will soon be over. These boots are so popular here that I have been at dinner parties where there were 6 or 8 pairs in different sizes and colours lined up by the door. My pair have bright red elastic inserts on the side - surprised?

You'd be hard pressed to find someone here wearing them! :D
ReplyDeleteI did google them, they have a nice line in boots, that from an old shoe salesman (many, many years ago!)
Eye catching!
ReplyDeleteThey look like such comfortable boots but I'm not quite ready to give up my sandals yet.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I'd be surprised if your pair had no red at all!
ReplyDeleteLove the style of this store!
Believe me or not, for the first time in my life I'm craving for mild temperatures. After 2 dry winter months with temperatures above 30°C (yesterday it was 34°C), all I can think is ice, icecream, fan and air conditioner. :(
The facade will garner attention. I've seen Aussie boots here, too...name of "Ugg" or something like that? Haven't heard of Blundstones, though. Really don't need heavy boots in Ocala, even in the winter.
ReplyDeleteI love the brightly colored building, especially as it is contrasted next to those drab buildings! I like the advertising painted right on the brickwork too!
ReplyDeleteI wish you'd post a picture of those boots. I'm curious.
ReplyDeletenice bright building!
ReplyDeleteEyecatching colour job, now of course I want to see a picture of the boots...
ReplyDeleteI am surprised at the popularity of Australian boots in Canada! Certainly an eyecatching shop front!
ReplyDeleteGreat sign! Toronto has so many.
ReplyDeleteCertainly bright
ReplyDeleteGreat sign coordinated with the storefront paint job. Those shoes sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteYou can't miss that place. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteThe store looks so eye catching and clean. Have you ever gone home with the wrong shoes on:-)
ReplyDeleteYou certainly cannot miss this storefront. Love the idea that people wear their boots anywhere and everywhere. You need to post a hot of yours. genie
ReplyDeleteThey are smart to give the store an eye-catching paint job. It really stands out.
ReplyDeleteRed inserts for your boots . . . am I surprised? I am still working on an imagined image for RedPat, but the image does include bright colors and an artistic temperament.
I love my Blundstones.
ReplyDeleteshould we share pics of ours?
ha, they must be similar to uggs?
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine wearing them to a party. lol.
Nice catch.
definitely a bright facade
ReplyDeletethat is a happy building!
ReplyDeleteThat color looks good on this building. I'd say red inserts for you boots is just about perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love to see Australian designs doing so well overseas, you will definitely have to show us a shot of you wearing your jaunty Blundstones with their red inserts Pat.
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colours. I almost missed the boot outline for the wires and shadows!
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing closed shoes the past two days. I miss my sandals already!
ReplyDeleteThose colors really stand out. I have to say I didn't see the boot outline until Lesley mentioned it.
ReplyDelete*I* like it. I wonder how the neighbors feel about all that color.
