Happy Orange Guy

I'm back in the Ossington lane where most of the garages have been painted with murals to discourage tagging - part of a city-santioned program. This piece was done by the artist Rock about whom I could find no information. If you look closely you can see that he has spelled out his name in the shapes while including some whimsical creatures to cheer up the laneway.
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click here for more murals.

  7. Whimsical indeed, I love the bright and cheery colors! (Re: your comment last week on Peruvian restaurant (sorry, catching up), yours sounds fantastic - the cuisine isn't that easy to find here, but nice to know it has made it's way to so many metro areas).

  8. Cool program, and it seems the artist enjoyed to create these happy creatures! ;-)

  9. Wonder if that is a self portrait, if so he shouldn't be too hard to spot....

  10. Golly, even knowing what the lettering spells does not help me one bit to "see" it. I'm hopeless. The Kilroy faces are funny and lighthearted. The Orange Guy's teeth make him seem a little sinister. But it looks like some persistent taggers still were not dissuaded. Too bad. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.

  11. I am pretty happy not to live in a place where it is necessary to paint up my garage so that the vandals son't do even worse to it.

  14. Thanks for pointing out how he incorporated his name; would have missed it. Makes me want to hand each of them a handkerchief for some reason!
