Rusty Gate

I was wandering along King St and spotted this wonderful rusty gate positioned between an older restored building and a newly constructed one and it looked as if it belonged to neither. I have since discovered that this walkway leads to a Spanish tapas restaurant called Patria that has just recently opened. Love that metalwork!

  1. It's a beautiful gate and seems somehow appropriate for a tapas restaurant. I love tapas!

  2. Very cool! Now if only I could slip the letter "C" in between the "I" and the "A", and it would say "Patricia", and that baby could have MY name on it! Ha ha! Although I don't go by the name Patricia! Just saying, though!

    Nice catch!

  4. The gate is very nice and I just noticed the name, "Patria," across the top; beautiful scroll work. For some reason, though, I started singing Hoyt Axton's song, "Rusty Old Halo"!

  11. Neat gate, though the restaurant may be a bit heard to find. took me a moment to figure out where the 'sign' was before reading your post!

  14. Gorgeous gate, the rust gives it a very contrasting colour against the pristine brickwork!
