I was wandering along King St and spotted this wonderful rusty gate positioned between an older restored building and a newly constructed one and it looked as if it belonged to neither. I have since discovered that this walkway leads to a Spanish tapas restaurant called Patria that has just recently opened. Love that metalwork!

It's a beautiful gate and seems somehow appropriate for a tapas restaurant. I love tapas!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Now if only I could slip the letter "C" in between the "I" and the "A", and it would say "Patricia", and that baby could have MY name on it! Ha ha! Although I don't go by the name Patricia! Just saying, though!
ReplyDeleteNice catch!
it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect for the entrance to a Spanish tapas bar Pat...Tapas is so popular right now, even Perth is catching on :)
ReplyDeleteVery attractive, love it!
ReplyDeleteThe gate is very nice and I just noticed the name, "Patria," across the top; beautiful scroll work. For some reason, though, I started singing Hoyt Axton's song, "Rusty Old Halo"!
ReplyDeleteNice gate - but what's the restaurant like?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful entry to the tapas restaurant!

Great gate, but the sign is almost too subtle!
ReplyDeleteLooks all the better for being rusty.
ReplyDeleteAdore how the sign is so beautifully worked into the metal and becomes part of the whole gate design! Gorgeous gate!
ReplyDeleteNeat gate, though the restaurant may be a bit heard to find. took me a moment to figure out where the 'sign' was before reading your post!
ReplyDeleteI love this gate and the metalwork and I love tapas, I'd definitely go inside.
ReplyDeleteI like that!
ReplyDeleteSeeing a rusty iron gate in Toronto is a rare sight.
ReplyDeleteIt really is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gate, the rust gives it a very contrasting colour against the pristine brickwork!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool entrance! I may have to try the tapas place just because of it. :)
ReplyDeleteNice find.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! It wouldn't go with my house or property but I can like it from afar.
ReplyDeleteI love that door ... and rich Spanish tapas :))))
