Walking along Bloor St, I spotted these 2 mallards heading north over the buildings. Considering the horribly cold weather we have been having this week, if I had wings I'd being going south!
Come on down, RedPat. We have had a "cold" January with many cloudy days, some rain, and some days with high temperatures in the 60s. People here are complaining, but it must sound pretty good to folks from colder climes.
A lovely poem by Rafael Alberti It comes in handy at this mural Pa:
Se equivocó la paloma,se equivocaba. Por ir al norte, fue al sur. Creyó que el trigo era agua. Se equivocaba. Creyó que el mar el cielo; que la noche, la mañana. Se equivocaba. Que las estrellas, roció; que la calor, la nevada. Se equivocaba....
At least the mallards are smart enough not to fly alone.
ReplyDeleteYou HAVE indeed had a rough winter up there!
ReplyDeleteBRRRR!!!!
«Louis» knows you'll be glad when it is over!
ha ha. good one!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you! You certainly have had a rough winter.
ReplyDeleteBet the artist didn't think of that Pat :))
ReplyDeleteI'd be flying south too!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many murals in Toronto! This one is great.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wall paintings...
ReplyDeleteGreat mural!
ReplyDeleteToo early to head north, but that is a fine looking mural. Good eye.
ReplyDelete:-) How I wish I had ducks flying on murals in Versailles, whichever way...
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment today!
Come on down! Mallards and snowbirds welcome here in Florida.
ReplyDelete(That's a lovely mural).
They've loss their compass. At least they are not flying into that brick wall.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful mural.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's summer in that mural, so from their point of view, flying north is the right... wait a minute, it's a mural, not real mallards!
