St Mary's Mosaic

This is a close-up of the mosaic found on yesterday's church. It was done by Italian artist Vincenzo Vanin who lived in Canada in the 1960s and early 70s and did several mosaics here.
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click here for more murals.

  1. I noticed the mosaic straight off in yesterdays shot Pat, looks beautiful in close detail, a very good use of colour, they work so well together.

  7. Just think of the attention to detail that work like this requires. I could NEVER do this. No patience.

  10. Beautiful colours. It interested me that an ITALIAN did the mosaic on a UKRAINIAN church in CANADA. :)
