Grand Gate

This gate is found in front of one of the fine old houses along Madison Ave which is one of the streets of large homes in the Annex neighbourhood. This one is unusual for having such a fence but I have never seen it closed so it must be more for effect rather than security.

  1. It's a beautifully designed gate.

  2. It has a lot of nice details. In our little community, we're allowed fences but they cannot be in the front - or past the front of the house. Sometimes I wish I could put a big fence around the whole place if you know what I mean! :)

  7. Security is not a big problem in your city, right?
But the gates give a feeling of privacy. ;-)

  13. I have tried to leave a comment twice now, but for some reason I can't get it to work and this is my third try. So if several comments show up from me all at once, then you will know what happened. The gate is lovely!

  15. Quite elaborate, RedPat. The gate is frilly and curly, but from what I can see of the house, it doesn't seem to have any frills or curlycues. Kind of an odd gate choice.

  17. Well, it doesn't look to secure to me either. Keep people in or out?

  18. I guess it's a nicer way to say "Keep Out" than a no trespassing sign.
