Street Hockey
This float from the Santa Claus Parade shows the very popular Canadian sport, street hockey. All you need is a net, a ball and a couple of kids and you are ready to play. What makes this particular game different is the goalie the kids are playing against - it is supposed to be Jonathan Bernier of our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs!
Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhen the pond wasn't frozen or too wet, we played with a real puck in our big garage... no rolling ball.
ReplyDeleteVery dynamic looking!
ReplyDeleteAch! Rivals of our Washington Capitals. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks huge fun. Or huge and fun.
ReplyDeleteA very cool float. The fireplug makes it! Growing up for awhile in Minnesota we played hockey on ice. Can't remember playing street hockey, but they did that in Texas.

ReplyDeleteI'm liking these floats you've been showing. They aren't over-the-top like the floats of our Rose Parade on New Years Day.
