Back In Time

Another post from the Christmas Market at the Distillery District gives a bit of a view of some of the 40 heritage-designated buildings found on the 13 acre site. This is the largest collection of Victorian-aged industrial buildings in North America although now they all house shops, galleries, studios, & restaurants rather than the Godderham & Worts distillery. The stalls for the market are set up along the 10 pedestrian streets running through the area. I was too early on a Sunday morning to try some mulled wine, unfortunately.

  1. The Distillery District sounds like a very nice place. I have a feeling I would visit quite often. The Xmas market looks quite festive...I like how the booths are similar or the same and the row of street lamps is very cool. The whole scene looks very cool - in at least two ways! :)

  6. I had no idea the Distillery District was the largest collection of Victorian-aged industrial buildings in N.A. You are teaching me so much about Toronto. :)

  12. I've only passed by the area, never walked around it. I'll have to remedy that!

  17. Looks like a fun place to be. Too early in that they weren't selling it yet, or just a little too close to breakfast?!
