Rooftop Gardening
I posted this laneway conversion from Croft St in 2010 (click HERE to see it) when we were in the midst of summer. This new pic taken a couple of weeks ago gives you an idea of how dull winter can become in comparison. The greenhouse looked to be empty but I wouldn't be surprised that there are some seedlings started up there now. Wouldn't it be nice to have a garden on the roof!
Wow, that is very cool! That is the greatest idea ever.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! And indeed it looks way better during the summer.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of roof=top gardens, for sure!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, winter does make a difference with this place.
ReplyDeleteA Rooftop garden would be delightful
ReplyDeletebig difference in appearance!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good way to make use of a flat roof. It looks like a converted warehouse.
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast between summer and winter for this building. Yes, a rooftop greenhouse would be lovely for extending the growing season.
ReplyDeleteVery imaginative!
ReplyDeleteI at least have a garden on my balcony. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSome rosemary, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteLove rooftop gardens. Well, I love to look at them. Probably wouldn't do to well if I had to actually "garden." I remember some in Paris - way up. Fascinating.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteI would love that! Imagine coming home from work and going to get your strawberries!
ReplyDeleteI did something of that, but eventually got tired of it...
ReplyDeleteinteresting location
ReplyDeleteRedPat, come on down! It is green and colorful down here in Florida and has been all winter!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visits while I was away and unable to look at other blogs. I hope you liked the trip.
I wonder what the view is like.
ReplyDeleteSort of a pop-up garden reaching for the sun.
