Yet another condo is under construction just off Queen St West but this one looks as if it is going to be quite interesting when finished. This shot was taken mid evening so the gates were closed and no work was going on but the structure seems to have gone up really quickly. I'll be back for a few progress pics, I think!

Heck, it's quite interesting now. The architect must have had fun with wooden blocks as a kid. Pretty neat design.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat design. It reminds me of building blocks put on top of each other by a child. I wonder if this allows each one to have a balcony? Great shot, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteNow this is a different way of building. I like how the patio varies for each condo, and the patio above makes a slight overhang for the condo below it! Clever, and very eye catching!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting design. It's like stacked boxes.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to show us photos of the finished building
it doesn't look dangerous
ReplyDeleteKnow this is a trend in modern architecture, but the building looks like the builders got the blueprints wrong. Or the workers were just careless. Perhaps it will be an interesting building? Makes for an interesting photo.
ReplyDeleteBoy, someone needs a straight-edge ruler! This is so funny and strange it's cute. Not sure I'd want to live in it but it would be easy for both of my friends to find if they wanted to find me. Which is unlikely. Still...
ReplyDeleteGates are very good around construction projects!
ReplyDeleteWooden blocks come to mind with this one!
ReplyDeleteI saw a notification this morning about Buskerfest coming into Toronto around Trinity Square this weekend and looked around- Kate Mior's part of the festival.
Uh-oh! Someone didn't put their blocks back right after they got through playing. :-)
ReplyDeleteneat, neat, neat design!
ReplyDeleteAn unusual and very interesting building!
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting way they have staggered the floors.
ReplyDeleteThe construction fence is necessary but I must say the unusual way that building is stacked is quite fascinating.
ReplyDeleteI like it but would not want to live there! Way too much window cleaning. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's Toronto.
ReplyDeleteBigger and taller. Way to much glass windows.
I will pass to live down town.
Reminds me of a stack of books.
ReplyDeleteEven someone as traditional as I thinks this has the potential to be a most interesting building.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a stack of boxes placed in a messy way.
ReplyDeleteI like all the different angles!
ReplyDeleteInteresting architecture. I bet it presents some challenges for the construction crew though!
ReplyDeleteI hope to see you at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/08/bennett-place-bit-of-history.html, and please join us each week for Wordless Wednesday (on Tuesday)!
I like it Pat and you know how boring I am :) would love to see when fini.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could ever live in a condo but I do agree that this one at least looks interesting. ;)
ReplyDeleteA very different design :)
ReplyDeleteI hope they remembered to use glass that can withstand extreme cold!
ReplyDeleteGreat and very original !!
