"Hunter"

The Vet's Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where my dad is now, has a wonderful collection of Inuit art but it is all behind glass and hard to photograph without getting a lot of reflections. I particularly like this soapstone one which is titled Hunter and was done in 1970 by the artist Saralie (I think).

  1. There's something determined about that expression - the figure exudes concentration of purpose.

  2. Inuit artwork is sososo interesting and such a pleasure to view. This is a lovely sculpture and the reflections are nice. I hope your dad is happy at the Vet Centre and that he is close enough to you that you can visit often. g

  3. You are right about the difficulty of photographing things under glass! You did a good job, though!

  13. Gee, this one looks blue. Is that an effect of the lighting or is it really blue? (Hope Dad likes his new housing.)
