Sunnybrook Estate

This is Vaughan Estate, the largest of the manors at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre that are used for event rentals. It was built in the Elizabethan style as a private home in 1931and was originally called "Donningvale" for its view along the Don River ravine. After restoration in 1991 it became an events venue and it has several ballrooms available for use.

  5. This would be a gorgeous place to have a wedding reception...or even a home for the elderly that are able to rent apartments and live alone. What a lively site.

  7. Can't imagine how many events must be held here to help pay for its upkeep. Must be pretty busy staff.

  14. That style of architecture appeals to me. Very substantial, but with nice detailing and especially great windows.
