The ducks & geese at James Gardens never go hungry but most people bring them bread which apparently isn't good for them. This woman spent about 5 minutes tossing them goodies of some kind.

that's a mass of them!
ReplyDeletelovely birds
ReplyDeleteA good thing! Here a crazy lady feeds the lousy pigeons...
ReplyDeleteBlessed are the carers
ReplyDeleteOh I hope she was giving them something suitable Pat, whatever it is they seem to really like it :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder why bread isn't good for them. They seem to be thriving here, and enjoying every minute of it! :)
ReplyDeleteThey have certainly gathered around to enjoy the feast.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of birds to feed!
ReplyDeleteBetter to give them seed. There are a lot!
ReplyDeleteIt's better to give them grapes or peas. Bread is very bad for them as well as contaminating the water.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder they don't fly south for the winter.
ReplyDeleteGracious! The crowds of ducks in geese near me do quite well on their own.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a mass of birds...
ReplyDeleteLong time since I saw a "Roots" sweatshirt!
ReplyDeleteAnd, the Geese make the scene really lovely.
Hope you had a lovely Easter, Pat!
Have a Happy Week ahead.
Peace :)
Hello!:) My goodness there are a lot of ducks and geese at James Gardens. Yes, bread is really junk food for ducks, and shouldn't be given.
ReplyDeleteHello, wow that is a lot of ducks. They must love all the free food. Great shot! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Easter Sunday! Enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing so many ducks in one place.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Feeding them adds to the mess around the area and makes the birds dependent on the vagaries of handouts.
ReplyDeleteFeed them and they will come!
ReplyDeleteA large gathering of ducks :)))
