High School

York Memorial Collegiate is a high school in the northwest part of the city with a very high academic success rate among its students. This Collegiate Gothic structure was built in 1930 and as you can see it has been well maintained over the years.

  1. A typical school building from that time period. My old public school "Secord" looked very much like this style. It has since been demolished and a new one built in it's place.
PS: Great minds think alike. We both have similar post today.

  6. Quite impressive. The style is similar to a high school here that I've never photographed.

  12. I think it's kind of funny and ironic at the same tie that those slits towards the top of those turrets were originally designed for archers. :-)
