St Mary's

This is St Mary's Polish Roman Catholic Church which is located right in the midst of a residential neighborhood in the west end of the city. The original church was founded and built in 1915 and was expanded to this present size in 1938. The large crucifix was installed in 2015 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the congregation.

  8. Interesting exterior for a Catholic Church, over here they tend to be a little more 'plain', the interiors of course are quite the opposite...

  12. Nice looking church. There are a few churches around here that have the nice stonework only on the front & just cement rendered on the other 3 sides too. I guess it was cost saving to do it that way.

  13. Interesting architecture. Simple Catholic style with a snout for Canadian winters.

I've visited Toronto twice but never out in the neighborhoods. One day...

  18. And we weren't even Polish but Fr. Baderski made us feel right at home.
We felt so much part of the community because of St . Mary's Catholic Polish Church.
