Many flowers seem to put out their brightest blooms just before the frost of fall brings the garden to an end. This is a special time of year. Thank you for your comment on my mountain pass photos. That pass is in the western slopes of The Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Both train tracks and road share the pass.
Looking good, RedPat. That Japanese maple tree in the background looks great. I have one in my side yard but this year it has had a lot of green color and is a bit disappointing.
