This little guy scampered across the roadway in Wychwood Park and headed up the tree but not before stopping to give me a good looking over. There are estimated to be hundreds of thousands of these raccoons living in Toronto getting into all kinds of trouble - eating garbage, ripping their way into people's homes, etc. They are cute though! That is a large trampolines in a Wychwood back garden behind him.

they are cute! and incorrigible! and smart! and able! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a super capture Pat, very obliging of Rocky Racoon to stop and pose for you, they are extraordinary looking, like little masked bandits ☺
ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot for them & he is looking at you as if begging you not to give him away!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the little bandit.
ReplyDeleteDevious but cute. I see them here from time to time. I remember one hot day seeing one snoozing up on a large branch in a tree.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree they are cute. But having put up with them ripping garbage and generally causing havoc isn't fun.
ReplyDeleteCute it is.
ReplyDeleteThey may be cute but are miserable critters and mess things up badly...I've not seen any in our neighborhood but they are around the area. In Pennsylvania they were a big nuisance, climbing a long flight of back steps to tear our garbage apart! Aargh!
ReplyDeleteNice shot, though!
Amazing to sse a racoon in the city.!
ReplyDeletecute, but a problem, for sure. do they set many traps for them?
ReplyDeleteoh what fun! I have seen their footprints on my back deck and have told Pixie to give them a wide berth. She is more of a runner than a fighter, so she should be OK while supervised.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are cute, but oh they can be trouble!
ReplyDeleteHe gave you a perfect pose! They are very cute with their little masked faces.
ReplyDeletewow nice shot
ReplyDeleteLooks like you gave HIM a good looking-over, too! Great picture.
ReplyDeleteNice one! I've never seen one up close. Cute and he even posed for you. :)
ReplyDeleteHello, what a cute critter. I love the pose and photo. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Hope you are having a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey always look like they're on their way to a party, a masked ball.
ReplyDeleteYou did well to capture this elusive fellow.
ReplyDeleteCute photo, RedPat.
ReplyDeleteHe is cute! Glad we haven't had any in my yard though.
ReplyDeleteI think he likes you Pat. ヽ༼⊙_⊙༽ノ
ReplyDeletelove seeing these little raccoons! We see them often at our cabin and they can be so personable, except when they are after the birdseed in the bird feeder!
ReplyDeleteSweet shot ~ great photo ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a special week ~ ^_^
We had a friend who was in her 90s, and did not see too well. A raccoon got into her house. She got a broom and swept it out the back door says, "That pesky cat didn't want to leave." That gave us a laugh. Fortunately there was no harm done to anyone, including the raccoon.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute capture, Pat !
ReplyDeleteParece que está un poco asustado.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing the critters in the city!
