Stone Walls
I spotted these lovely stone retaining walls when walking through one of the ravines along the Humber River. The river is a great source of stones like this so I'm sure they were all locally sourced many years ago when a house stood in this part of the ravine.
...nice workmanship!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely fall scene. Pat, you have a great eye.
ReplyDeleteThey look very pretty with those yellow leaves tumbling over them.
ReplyDeleteThe stones are surely interesting, but i love those yellow leaves :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful autumn scene perfected by the stone wall; but I'm prejudiced as I love all things stone!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow a really nice and beautiful autumn shot.
ReplyDeletereally fine wall well shown
ReplyDeleteFine stone walls & their Colorado is well off set against the golden leaves! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow leaves and the stone walls compliment each other nicely.
ReplyDeletelooks solid
ReplyDeleteCertainly built to last.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your comment, the Victims of Communism monument that Harper had in mind got derailed by court proceedings, and pretty much shelved by the election. If it's ever erected, it'll be a whole lot smaller, far less draconian, and in a completely different location.
Beautifully built.
ReplyDeleteGosh what a super image Pat! The wall is beautifully constructed and how incroyable the bricks against the autumn colours, fabulouso find!
ReplyDeleteNICE! I love stone walls.
