Loonie
A couple of weeks ago 20 new bike rings were installed on Bloor St W in the Bloordale neighbourhood. The rings were all designed by students at Bloor Collegiate Institute which is in the area and they are so much nicer than the usual ones installed by the city. I'll sprinkle them in among my posts over the next little while. This one is a good representation of a loon don't you think?
Hello, it is a pretty bike ring. I like the loon design. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteIt is. That'll make a good shadow shot as well, depending on how much sunlight comes down there. There's a stretch of one of our streets here with these metal art works that cast good shadows through the spaces.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the loon Minnesota's state bird? What I like about it is that it was designed by students.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! What a great idea to put these up and make them little works of art.
ReplyDeleteWow, the design of this bike ring is beautiful and appropriate. It almost looks too good to chain a bike to. Looking forward to seeing more of these.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a winning design!
ReplyDeleteGreat design and I like even more that it was designed by students. That will be great for shadows whenever you get some sun.
ReplyDeleteI'll say! Quite unusual.
ReplyDeleteSame thing here. Bike racks are now also a piece of art.
ReplyDeleteVery nice design!
ReplyDeleteIf you get a chance, please do check out ones made by David Byrne, which are in NYC.
Have a Happy Weekend, Pat!
Peace :)
Very nice bike stand. Like it very much and lucky that you can still find this kind of activities.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely much more appealing than the normal run of the mill bike rack Pat, little artistic touches popping up unexpectedly are always fun to find 😊
ReplyDeleteCreative, artistic, smart and very pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is, and the common loon is Minnesota's state bird!
