"We Are All Animals"
This art piece is found in front of a condo on Bloor St opposite from High Park. The piece consists of the 2 canine figures and the digitized scene that you can see on the wall. The scene is actually moving with water flowing and trees blowing etc. When I first saw this I thought the dogs were waiting for someone to come out of the doors but they are meant to be watching the screen as the piece explores the relationship of nature to a digital world. Done in 2015 by artists Public Studio the piece is titled "We Are All Animals".
I like the whole concept: the alert figures of the adult dogs and the protective stance of the young pup. Very imaginative!
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative idea. I never would have thought of a relationship between nature and the digital world but of course there is. We show it every day with our photos!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me very much of a piece by two Sydney artists Gillie & Marc. It's a thought provoking piece Pat ☺
