Humberside Collegiate Institute
Just around the corner from yesterday's Little Library is Humberside Collegiate Institute and this is the main entrance to the school. I love the architecture of this old section of the school. The school was established in 1892 and is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year!
I am curious... where do you find all these sunny rain free days? ;)
ReplyDeleteNice landmark
ReplyDeleteI agree re the architecture probably because so much of my education happened in such buildings. Nothing like them. What is a "collegiate institute"? That's not a term I'm familiar with...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful windows!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very attractive building. I love the windows.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful piece of architecture Pat, I particularly like the tall arched windows. Bet it's just as nice inside.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful building. I don't think I've ever been around it.
ReplyDeleteI am always struck by the symmetry of some of these older architectural gems.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry, Pat. Take care of yourself and hope everything is resolved soon in the best way possible.
ReplyDeleteNice building. I too love those wonderful windows.
ReplyDeleteI love those beautiful arched windows!
ReplyDeleteThis has the best kind of traditional look to it.
ReplyDeleteThe red brick reminds me of the buildings I was educated in (several hundred years ago!)
ReplyDeleteIndeed very nice architecture with great bricklaying.
ReplyDeleteLovely building - red brick and green roof is a good combination.
ReplyDeleteGran edificio y estupendamente conservado.
ReplyDeleteBuen fin de semana Pat:))
