The Chipmunk and the female Cardinal really blend into their background of fallen seeds from the bird feeder above them. These two seemed to get along quite well and continued to eat side by side for quite awhile.

They blend beautifully into the background, hoping this helps them evade any predators.
ReplyDeleteWe have plenty of Cardinals, but I never see chipmunks here. They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week-end!
Hello, looks like they are friends enjoying a dinner together. Cute capture.

They seem to have established a truce. Both get to feed to their hearts content. Good wildlife shot.
ReplyDeleteThey're happily at work in my backyard right now undermining by patio and basement. :-)
ReplyDeleteCute again. Nice
ReplyDeleteA busy time of year for both. Different animals can get along a lot better than some people.

Yes, the females are generally colored in such a way that they do not attract predators to the nest.
ReplyDeleteGosh well done for spotting this rather odd couple of diners Pat 😀

ReplyDeleteJudging from what activity I've seen so far from these fellows, we're headed for a tough winter here.
