This mural is found in the laneway on the side of the Dirty Bird Chicken & Waffles restaurant on Bloor St. I've never been in but apparently they serve northern-fried chicken with maple sugar seasoning on waffles as a speciality. It sounds good. This is another mural by Elicser who seems to be one of the most prominent muralists in the city now.

Very nice mural. I've never heard of northern-fried chicken before, but it does sound good.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mural, nice advertisement too. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeleteA great mural, good appetite !
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mural and a great advert for the restaurant.
ReplyDeletenice mural
ReplyDeleteI've never had chicken and waffles although I've heard good things but, I must say your description with maple seasonings sounds even better than what I've heard. Cute mural for the place.
ReplyDeleteSuch a grand mural with lots of emotion put into it. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteColourful and whimsical!
ReplyDeleteLooks nice.
ReplyDeleteThere's a love fest going on but I'm sure if it's between the diners and the food or between the diners themselves! What a name, "Dirty Bird..." Not too appetizing! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, the name may not be too appetizing, but it is intriguing, and I would be tempted to go in and try some of this 'northern-fried chicken'!
ReplyDeleteCool looking mural. I never heard of northern fried chicken. Maybe with the maple syrup, it makes the northern connection.
ReplyDeleteI love all the detail in this mural! And the vibrant colors!
ReplyDeleteSurely maple syrup is the key.
ReplyDelete...I could tell that it was by Elicser at first glance.
ReplyDeleteTrying to photograph the entire mural in a lane way can be frustrating... right?
ReplyDeleteThis is good Pat! Eugene Arts Commission has been bringing in mural artists to dress things up a bit, but I haven't really fallen in love with the ones I see. I need to spend a day doing the whole tour and really looking. Maybe I'm missing something.
ReplyDeleteNice mural. Only the combination of waffles with maple sugar and fried chicken is not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteGood one
ReplyDeleteI do like a mural that's relevant to it's situation Pat.. now I'm thinking about tried chicken 😀
ReplyDeleteMe encanta el mural!!!
ReplyDeleteVibrant colors a very petty mural and one drippy sandwich pictured!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they're more interested in each other than the food. Maple syrup not withstanding. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
