The November theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is Rock 'n' Roll and for the theme I offer this pic of a great old LP of original Rock hits. There are some great songs on there - if only I had something to play LPs on!

...keep on rocking!
ReplyDeleteFor several years I wrote a column re new records coming on the market. I got free samples and must have had a couple thousand LPs at one point. Eventually, I sold or gave them away. Now I wish I'd kept them as I had many classics. You can buy LP players quite cheaply these days.
ReplyDeleteThat cover is a classic!
ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing how much "owning" music has changed over the years. I remember when I finally transferred all of my music to iTunes I thought it was mind boggling that all those CD's that took up so much room in my house was now on the teeny-tiny little machine I could hold in my hand.
ReplyDeleteHello, nice album. It lots of oldies but goodies.
ReplyDeleteHappy November, have a happy Wednesday!
Rock on! My thoughts for November are this, "Why did you come so early?"
ReplyDeleteGood choice!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I was trying to find my old (and original) Woodstock poster, buI don't have it here. Shame...
ReplyDeleteFlash back the 50s and 60s.
ReplyDeleteThe two greatest decades ever.
The first time my 18 year old saw a record player was in a museum last month!
ReplyDeleteWhat's an LP? :-)
ReplyDeleteYou can come play it at my house. I've still got a turntable. But the speakers with it died. We've still got most of our old LP's just little time to listen to them.
ReplyDeleteCool idea for this theme.
ReplyDeleteYeah. What do we do with old LPs? And Beta Max. And VHS. And before long even CDs and DVDs won't have anything to play them on. (I sound like an old man with an "everything today is going to the dogs" attitude.)
ReplyDeleteGreat sign. I do remember when these machines were in their hay day. Still like rock n' roll.
ReplyDeleteI would love to listen to this! I have the same problem though, nothing to play my LPs on.
ReplyDeleteWhat goes around, comes around...and your LP looks brilliant. Go out and treat yourself to a record player.
ReplyDeleteSome great classics on that LP. All I have left today is a huge bunch of music files. It's just not the same as looking and holding your music but at least I still can hear it. :) Nice shot Pat.
