Always Hoping
This float from the Santa Claus Parade is a tribute to our beloved hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs who haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1967 but we keep hoping that this is the year. The float shows the old Maple Leaf Gardens on Carlton St, the mascot Carlton the Bear, and the wonderful Johnny Bower who was playing goal for us when we last won and is now 93 years old!
Originales y bonitascarrozas.Están muy bien diseñadas Pat.

Excellent float to a great team. They were always major completion for my Chicago Blackhawks.

ReplyDeleteHello, great float representing your hockey team. I am sure they are happy with their fans! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteReading how cold it is up there gave me a shiver!
ReplyDeleteI'd say your team is due!
...hope is what keeps you going.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel, my NFL team The Carolina Panthers haven't' won a superbowl yet but they've come close. Hopefully before I die.
ReplyDeleteOur St. Louis Blues have never won the Stanley Cup. At least you have 13 wins.
ReplyDeleteMemories, memories.
ReplyDeleteThere are some wonderful floats in this parade.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful float for the hockey team. There is always next year in case you don't win this year. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this one gets lots of cheers as it passes the crowds!
ReplyDeleteIt needs Rocket Richard on it too, scoring on the Toronto net. :)
ReplyDeleteSince 1967? Wow. I must not have been paying attention. I still think of Toronto as one of the good teams. (I really only pay attention to "my" teams, the Boston Bruins and the Columbus Blue Jackets.)
ReplyDeleteJust catching up on the floats. They really are nice!
ReplyDeleteWaiting so long for a championship will just make it sweeter when the cup finally comes your way. In the meantime, stay warm!
ReplyDeleteLocal memories!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great float!
ReplyDeleteThoe Maple LeAfs fans, they never give up. I'd agree with William's comment, above
