"Swing Me Mama"
This is the last of the sculptures that I will show you from the ZimSculpt exhibition at the Toronto Botanical Garden. Titled "Swing Me Mama", it was done by artist Dominic Benhura, again out of springstone which seems to come in various colours. This was one of the tallest of the small scale ones and also the most expensive.
This is a great sculpture. I might not have figured out without your title!
ReplyDeleteIf I could do this my grandkids would love it. (•‿•)

Strangely powerful and touching
ReplyDeleteSuch a tremendous sculpture, and beautifully photographed. Excellent. Thank you for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I love this one! Once my "little" Brother and I were swinging his Daughter when a man came by and said he hurt his child very badly doing this.... uh-oh ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely stylish sculpture, Pat !
ReplyDeleteStunning ...as are the cormorants below. The family ones like this were my favorites when we visited a park in Colorado that featured Zimbabwean sculptures. They are so beautifully done and you realize how families are the same everywhere ...and think about the small moments in life that are the most important.
