Jacks

I spotted this sculpture of a giant game of Jacks out front of an apartment building in the Annex. It is a game I hadn't thought about in years - I wonder if it is still played and if kids would even know what these things are?

  2. Oh my gosh, I haven't thought about that game in ages and ages. I used to play it for hours with my sisters when I was a kid. I love this.

  3. Jacks were popular during my childhood. That was a long time ago, so I do not think it is popular now. Makes for a fun sculpture and photo however.

  4. How can you possibly pick up all those large pieces with one hand? I bet they are stuck to the ground!

    God bless.

  7. Haven't thought of jacks for decades. Use to play when I was a kid. I wonder if anyone sells it anymore and if they do, who would buy it. Nice find, Pat.

  13. My grandies wouldn't know anything about jacks. But if I ever find a set of jacks in the dollar store, I'll teach them.

  14. It's an interesting piece of art but I'll bet its so low tech now that it would confuse kiddies.
