It is certainly the season for ice fishing although it is not an activity for me. I spotted poor cold Woody high above a rooftop along Dundas St W and was glad to see he was sitting on a woodstove!

I think I would be a tad paranoid about ice fishing. Every year it seems that a vehicle goes through the ice somewhere. And I know enough abiut ice formation to know that there can be weak spots even in continuous thick ice cover. No thanks to ice fishing! But the mural is attractive.
ReplyDeleteNot something for Woody I think but a nice mural it is.
ReplyDeleteHello, the mural is cute. But, I would be scared to ice fish. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week ahead.
ReplyDeletePoor Woody, that is a very cold adventure. I have a friend who went ice fishing in Minnesota with work colleagues several years ago. She said she wanted to experience it once but also said she'd never do it again.
ReplyDeleteI sure feel with Woody! It´s (too) cold!
ReplyDeleteI would be scared to be fishing on top of the ice. But the mural is great. Thanks for participating Pat.
ReplyDeleteIce fishing is something I would be afraid of too. I love the mural and didn't even notice that Woody was sitting on a stove until you mentioned it!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's a lot colder where you are. It's 14F here midday, which is crazy cold for us. Add to that the 37mph winds, and . . . Woody Woodpecker needs some more clothes. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice find Pat. It reminds of today's cold temperatures.
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteRedPat, this is a perfect mural for this ice fishing season. But I will pass on actually doing this.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful mural for the winter season. I haven't been ice fishing for a very long time. We used to have a hut to sit in to stay out of the cold. It's fun if you have some friends with you or if you don't it could be cold and lonely.
ReplyDelete...with our cold weather it's now ice fishing time around here.
ReplyDeleteA nice mural. Thanks...

Staying warm is critical :)
ReplyDeleteI have never understood the appeal of snow fishing. Granted, our snow season was with the Mississippi, and I don't think it was good for fishing.
ReplyDeleteWoody doesn't look too happy!
ReplyDeleteI live in a lake town and the lake is dotted with ice fishing huts right now.
The picture of Woody made me chuckle. I've never understood ice fishermen. I think it's more about the beverages they consume.
ReplyDeleteWasn’t Woody the cartoon character who said “That’s all folks”? Or well, maybe that was Bugs ?Bunny ... anyway, I’d definitely feel like saying that if I were in that position... woodstove or not!
ReplyDelete,
Woody looks chilled to the bone!
ReplyDeletePoor Woody!
ReplyDeleteEven if it were totally safe I can't see the appeal of ice fishing.
B-r-r-r! It feels like that here right now.
ReplyDeleteHoho, nice one, Pat !
ReplyDeleteMade me smile Pat, despite the woodstove Woody still looks chilly 😱
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable but he does look cold!
ReplyDeleteI would be curious about the average IQ of ice fishermen . . .
ReplyDeleteEL PAJARO LOCO HELADO!!!!
ReplyDeleteSALUDITOS
