A Vintage Doorway
I spotted this lovely doorway along Adelaide St in the historic downtown area of the city. It is hard to read but in the stonework above the door it reads Commodore Building. The Commodore was built in 1929 as a commercial warehouse but now is divided up into offices serving those in the creative fields such as architecture and advertising. I love the nice Deco carvings in the stonework.
Beautiful stonework! Have a wonderful day Patrick! Annster's Domain
ReplyDeleteGreat architecture.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good eye for catching these details. It is the type of entrance that says this is a solid, upstanding place.
ReplyDeleteAlso lovely reflected sunlight in your photo. Good choice of photographic subject.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful details and stonework! I hope your day is great!
I had to look it up on Google Maps. It is a classic.
ReplyDeleteOh you know I'm going to love those Art Deco touches too Pat 😉 Super find!
ReplyDeletePat, this is a very nice discovery.
ReplyDeleteHandsome door;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stonework and details, Pat.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful architecture and your lighting and shadow play makes it even better!
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice. Hard to believe it was a warehouse. I picture those sorts of buildings as far more modest (and boring).
ReplyDeleteThe days that a client would like to have the entrance special treated what a time was that.
ReplyDeleteElegante y muy guapa esa entrada Pat!!
ReplyDeleteLove that font!!
