This seems to have been a good year for nuthatches and in particular the White-breasted Nuthatch. They are sweet birds who crawl up and down the trunks of trees quickly, then fly in to a feeder for one seed and then back to the tree. There is almost constant movement!

They are so much fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Hello, they are sweet birds. I love to watch them in my yard. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.
There is a bird here called a verdin that is much the same. They never sit still so it's almost impossible to get a good photo. This one turned out great.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird. A different looking bird than we have here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice capture, you caught it when it was taking a break from flying and running back and forth.
ReplyDeleteA pretty little one!
ReplyDeleteI find the birds' ability to cling to vertical trees fascinating.
ReplyDeleteHello sweet bird!
ReplyDeleteWell done on catching it Pat. Such a sweet wee bird ✨
ReplyDeleteYou caught it very well. They do seem to be in constant motion.
ReplyDeleteFine nuthatch photo. We usually have them around all winter, but realize I haven't seen one in ages. This winter might have been hard on them.
ReplyDeleteHello. Beautiful bird. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteVery similar behaviour to our Nuthatch in the UK. Just different colouration.
ReplyDeleteI used to go to a dentist where windows looked out onto a park; you could watch nuthatches climb up and down the tree as you waited between various tortures. Pretty much the only fun thing that ever happened to me at a dental office.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love them?!
ReplyDeleteUn instante preciosoo. Buena captura.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
