The July theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is "Blue" and I thought this 1957 Bel Air would be perfect. It was at the Exotic Car Show and got as much attention as any of the more expensive European models. Notice that it even has dice hanging from the rear view mirror.

Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians!

Happy Canada Day! I like this car very much. It kind of brings back memories. My dad had a red one similar to this only ours was a sedan and not a convertible. My dad loved the "fins".
ReplyDeleteThe '57 Chevy convertible, especially in this light blue, is a high point in Chevy design. As a teenager I could only dream of a car like this. It just screams late 1950s. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful car and perfect for the theme! I did know about Lowell and I will miss him so much. We corresponded by email over the years and I purchased one of his books. His comments always made me smile.
ReplyDeleteCompared to today's cars this one has less gadgets but is much more snazzy.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Amazing car!
ReplyDeleteA blue beauty! Happy Canada Day, Pat.
ReplyDeleteVery cool.
ReplyDeleteThose fins!
ReplyDeleteWhat's a 1950s car without fuzzy dice? That was such a popular color back in the day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day.
Ahhh, from my high school days!
ReplyDeletePerfect car to glide over the road.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful and exotic car, Pat !
ReplyDeleteThat is an impressive toy!
ReplyDeleteIt's been well taken care of.
ReplyDeleteWoW! What a sweet ride she is!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much car styles have changed in my lifetime. That car was popular when I was in high school.
