This pretty little building was built in 1914 as a Lutheran church and continued to be a church until 1966 when it was sold to U of Toronto and turned into a theatre in 1968. Now named the Luella Massey Studio Theatre it is used as a teaching facility and is also rented out for private events.

...the outline of the gable end has a southwest feel. It's great to hear that it wasn't thorn down and a high rise built in it's place. Thanks for joining in today.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty little place. It has the look of a church but, I bet it makes a good theatre when needed.

ReplyDeleteOh I adore that 😍
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nice space. The scale looks good for its current purposes.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. We have a few churches turned into theatres in Sydney too.
ReplyDeleteIn front sight it still looks like a church.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of how other colleges are buying up and re-using old churches.
