Stairway To The Casa
This is the stairway leading up to Casa Loma from Davenport Rd and just after a snowfall you can really see the stairs. There are 110 of them so tourists heading up to the Casa and to Spadina House get a bit of exercise on their way.
...it nice to have railings at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteAnd lucky no snow on the stairs.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an major aerobic workout to get to the top of these stairs. Fine image.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are great! After having had some food at the Christmas markets I´d skip the stairs for now, though ;-)
ReplyDeleteI remember those stairs. They look pretty with the snow all around.
ReplyDeleteI loved that place. I don't remember when I was there. A lifetime ago.
ReplyDeleteWith all those stairs, it's nice that the snow is gone and you have railings to hold on to. Wouldn't want to slip.
ReplyDeleteNo something you would want to climb is icey
ReplyDeleteQuite a climb. It's around that number, maybe a few more, getting up to that Catholic church that overlooks Guelph.
ReplyDeleteThey need to place some benches along the way so a person can sit down for a minute!
ReplyDeleteNow those are stairs I remember, after walking up and down them 5 days a week for nearly two years ('74-'75)!
ReplyDeleteA touch of elegance. I hope the maintenance crews keep them ice free.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I'm not sure I'd like to face that regularly, though it would certainly do me good.
