Taking a Break From Ice Sculptures
The crowds were so large at the Ice Fest in Yorkville that a lot of people took a break in the park to relax and get some space. There are a few areas with heaters surrounded by blue chairs where everyone could take a rest although it seemed mostly kids were using the chairs.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe red lanterns are cute? Are they lights? Great street/people scene! Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend!
...but soon the ice sculptures will be history.
ReplyDeleteYou would find me standing by one of those heaters!
ReplyDeleteYes the red lanterns make the picture. I like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteThat's fun!
ReplyDeleteCool lanterns!
ReplyDeleteI do like the lanterns.
ReplyDeleteI do like the red lanterns :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I e joyed the ice sculptures and esp the one dedicated to Terry Fox. It was nice to find a less crowded park like this one to get a break tho. What are The red things in the trees.? I couldn’t quite make them out.
ReplyDeleteLotsa fun!
ReplyDeleteI crave color in winter and this spot pours it on and looks like a fun spot. (To answer your question, our ferry ride to Victoria is 90 minutes & ends in the inner harbour, steps to Parliament, the Royal B.C. Museum, and downtown shops. It's our closest big city. Seattle is approx. 2-1/2 to 3 hrs. drive, including a shorter ferry ride.)
ReplyDeleteYes a break from the crowds is always appreciated Pat, the park looks so festive with it's red lanterns and blue chairs ✨
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun adventure and I'm happy to follow along too!
