"Reclining Torso"
This sculpture, "Reclining Torso", has been one of my favourites for years and every time I see it I am struck by its visual strength. It was done by John Filion in 1969 and sits in the front courtyard of an office building along St Clair Ave. I tried to keep the signage of the neighbouring coffee shop out of the pic!
I love that one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a powerful image. I can see why it is a favorite.

ReplyDeleteVery weird looking.
ReplyDeleteA bit odd, but that's just my reaction.
ReplyDeleteI think it a bit strange, but I like strange things :)
ReplyDeleteNow there's an excellent sample of core body strength!
ReplyDeleteYes, it does look strong!
ReplyDeleteLooks like it´s getting up again.
ReplyDeleteStrong indeed Pat. Those core muscles would be like steel after 51 years :)
ReplyDeleteTook me a sec to see the torso!
