Neighbours
I like seeing how neighbours have such different styles of decoration for houses that are structurally quite similar. These two in the Summerhill neighbourhood give a good example of different tastes. I can't really decide which I like best.
They look great. This is one the main reasons I never bought attached houses.
ReplyDelete...making a choice is easy for me, why would you want to paint the brick?
ReplyDeleteIts indeed difficult to decide but in the end number 52.
ReplyDeleteGosto deste estilo de casas.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteThey are both great looking homes! Have a happy day!
I'm not sure which I like best either but I do think they complement each other.
ReplyDeleteThey are both very appealing, but I like the brownish one better than the other one.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
They both look rather more grand than my little house. On one of the roads leading into Cambridge there is a row of small houses built in the inter-war years; when I was young they were almost identical but they've now evolved into a line of very different dwellings as each householder has expanded and beautified their properties.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful house. They look completely different than we do here.
ReplyDeleteI like the one on the right. I wouldn't paint the brick.
ReplyDeleteThey both look great but I prefer the one on the right.
ReplyDeleteGrey is very trendy inside and out right now but I prefer the natural brick.
ReplyDeleteVery much like West Philadelphia where I lived my early Bohemian life
ReplyDeleteThey stand out well together.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I like the entrance on the left and the curved window rooms on the right. However the unit on the left looks like it has more updates, at least on the outside.
ReplyDeleteMost interesting comparison. Looks like these two houses were built at the same time, but with obvious differences. The windows are very different.
ReplyDeleteThat is a tough one. I like the arches on the left windows but I prefer bay windows. I wonder why the stairs are offset on the right hand house. They're a very nice pair.
ReplyDeleteYes. Our neighbour´s house is pink.
ReplyDeleteOurs... grey, sadly. At least we have a red door.
This is tricky Pat, I'm torn, I do love the red brick, but the grey is smart too ✨
ReplyDeleteThose are familiar sights.
ReplyDeleteThe one on the left has been modernized, which makes for a nice interior. However, some day new owners will want an authentic look and change it back.
