Last week I showed you a Cardinal eating at this bird cafe and this week I'm showing one of the uninvited guests that turn up. The squirrels are able to hang here for a long time eating away but luckily the feeder holds a lot of food so there is always plenty left for the birds.

...they are bandits!
ReplyDeleteSquirrels get hungry too.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels always make themselves right at home, free and easy meals. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, stay safe! Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend.
The local thug returns to get his share. :)
ReplyDeleteHah hah! funny squirrels;-)
ReplyDeleteNothing is squirrel-proof! I have fun watching the local kleptomaniac squirrels here too.
ReplyDeleteSO cute!
ReplyDeleteOoops !
ReplyDeleteA big visitor for that little house...
Those darn squirrels will get everywhere.

Animals can eat in the strangest positions. Can you imagine trying to swallow food upside-down? I don't think that would work for us humans.
ReplyDeleteWhere there is a will there is a way. :-)
ReplyDeleteSquirrels have an amazing ability to climb into bird feeders. Not only are they agile, but they are also smart. To answer your question, we had freezing rain and ice on Thursday evening. Today is sunny and above freezing so it is melting now. It does snow here in April, but it usually melts quickly.
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels can be kind of cute but they sure scare our pretty birds away! Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteThat birdhouse/feeder is so realistic it makes the squirrel look like Godzilla!
ReplyDeleteThough they hog the birds' food, they are cute :)
ReplyDeleteTake care, Pat!
Quite an acrobat.
ReplyDeleteWe've got lots of those at our feeders!
ReplyDeleteHah! Squirrels are acrobatic little beasts, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, it looks like I will be in Florida "for the duration." It is so bizarre. Beautiful weather, blue skies, a very pretty community in my own little cocoon, while outside the world is going to hell, both healthwise and economically. I hope you are safe up there.
Wow cool! Last month, I saw two squirrels outside our dorm. I was amazed because squirrels are not usual in the Philippines.

I like how you caught the coloring on the little guy even though he is being a gate crasher.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the squirrel thinks he owns this little house.
ReplyDeleteI have a wooden house-style feeder and a squirrel scratch off much of the paint. One just damaged my squirrel-proof feeder too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe uninvited but he doesn't give a damn.
ReplyDeleteAwwww... clever cutie-pie!!!
ReplyDeleteOurs are just taking walnuts now.
Great photo!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good day!
All those critters gottaq eat!
ReplyDeleteWell he's a cheeky one Pat 😊
